The Sustainable Territories project (2020-2023) coordinated by CIRAD and funded by the Ministry of Overseas of the French government, aims to facilitate the agroecology transition of three territories: Guadeloupe, Martinique and Réunion. The project is based on the involvement of territorial stakeholders and aims for change through three scales: the scale of the agricultural plot for technical and agroecological levers; the scale of the farm for the remobilization of resources and the learning necessary for changes; and finally the watershed scale to bring together stakeholders and facilitate changes, mainly organizational and institutional.
As part of this project and in collaboration with Nature & Progrès, CIRAD (UMR MOISA) produced two self-assessment guides around PGS and set up 3 participatory training courses, in Réunion, Guadeloupe and France to understand and co-develop PGSs.
